SHEN Yajing(申亞京)
Prof. SHEN Yajing leads Mevita Robotics Lab at HKUST. His research focuses on intelligent robotic systems, particularly bioinspired miniature robotics, tactile sensing, embodied intelligence, dexterous manipulation, human–robot interaction, and biomedical robotic systems.
His group develops robotic systems that integrate sensing, actuation, control, and physical intelligence for real-world interaction, ranging from tactile robotic perception to miniature biomedical robots and contact-rich manipulation.
He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, including works in Science Robotics, Science Advances, Nature Communications, PNAS, and leading robotics journals. His work has been recognized by awards and honors including the NSFC Excellent Young Scientist, IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, AAIS Fellow, membership of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences, and the ICRA Best Manipulation Paper Award.
